On 19th June 2014 Hampshire County Council published its decision to refuse Clean Power Properties permission for the construction and operation of a anaerobic waste processing plant at Micheldever Station. The reasons given for the refusal included the view that the site is unsuitable for the purpose, being in a rural area and a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC). The planners also stated that the development would have an “unacceptable adverse visual impact” on the local area.
There is not yet any sign of an appeal by Clean Power Properties. They had six months from the initial decision in which to lodge an appeal, which will come to an end on 18th December.
