The Dever Society’s Privacy Notice – May 2018

What personal data we collect
Personal data that we may collect include names, email addresses, postal addresses and telephone numbers. This information may be collected from our website, via telephone and email, and face-to-face.
Why we collect this data and the legal basis for handling it
We process personal data in order to communicate with members. We process personal data only where the individual has given their explicit consent for us to do so, or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
Who we share data with
We do not share personal data with any third party. We would only share personal data if required to do so by law, by a court, or to enforce or apply the terms and conditions of a contract with us.
How we protect data
We protect unauthorised access to personal data and prevent it from being lost, accidentally destroyed, misused, or disclosed, by storing paper records under lock and key, and storing electronic records on password protected single user electronic devices.
How long we retain data
We retain personal data until the point at which an individual requests us to stop doing so (by unsubscribing from our email list or cancelling their membership) or after a time of 5 years has elapsed since our last interaction with that individual.
Your rights with respect to data
You have the right to:
- request access to, amend or correct your personal data
- request that we delete or stop processing your personal data at any time
